About the event
Join Team DD for our next bookish event! For the first time ever, we're focusing on new voices in non-fiction and we're joined by two incredible debut authors. We'll be interviewing special guests, Elizabeth Lovatt (author of Thank You For Calling the Lesbian Line) and Beth Ashley (author of Sluts: The Truth About Sex Shame and What We Can Do to Fight it) as well as hearing readings from them both and ending with an audience Q&A discussion.
Beth Ashley is an award winning journalist who debuted Sluts in 2024. As we look ahead to the 2025 paperback publication, it has been praised by Ruby Rare and read by the Dua Lipa book club to name only a few. Sluts takes a groundbreaking look at how society shames sex whether it be in schools, on TV, in our everday language and more and how slutshaming effects different communities and intersects…
