Review of Quicksilver by Callie Hart

From the first chapter I was immediately pulled into this cinematic slice of romantasy. Like a whirlwind, the 624 pages flew by, leaving me both satisfied and hungry for more. There’s action, enemies, steamy romance and more!

In this first book of the Fae & Alchemy series we meet Saeris, a feisty pick-pocketer who hides among the shadows from the Undying Queen. After a cat-and-mouse chance, Saeris inadvertently opens a gate to another realm where she takes on a new identity and occupation in the face of Death.

I ate every single word up. My heart raced, it soared and it broke at times, but every single sentence was utter perfection. I loved the way Callie drip-fed us knowledge about the world within Quicksilver, the politics and the magic. And GOSH, that ending left me with my jaw on the floor and excitement about book two in my tummy... like little butterflies (IYKYK!)
